- **Event Description**: On Sunday, November 16, Vermont Hands & Voices will hold our 2nd annual accessible Family Dance in Richmond, Vermont! This event will feature dances and movement activities well-suited for kids of all ages, and will be be accessible by kids and others who are D/deaf or hard of hearing, and/or with mobility or cognitive challenges. We will enjoy the energetic and inclusive leadership of Karen Mueller-Harder, who will teach with a combination of signing and spoken English, and interpreters will be available where needed. The dances will be from contra and barn dance traditions, and we'll adapt what we do to meet the needs of the participants. We will have great live music on fiddle and guitar, and work with people's hearing technology to the best of our ability.

Everyone is welcome, and all dances are taught, and easily learned, even if you've never danced before! And please invite your friends to join you--the dances are more fun with more people! Admission for everyone is free, though donations are welcome. We ask that you bring clean, dry shoes to change into, if there's rain or snow on the ground.

The dance will held from 4-5:30 in the pleasant and wheelchair accessible upstairs space in the Richmond Free Library, at 201 Bridge St, in Richmond VT. Ample parking is available in the lot adjacent to the library. If you know you'll be coming, we'd really appreciate it if you can RSVP so we can make sure to accommodate everyone's needs:
