All participants must follow the VANPLA and Polycap rules to gain admittance. (Polycap rule #3b regarding buying, selling, and trading will be exempt for the duration of the Swap Meet.) For those of you that wish to sell but are unable to be at the event, other 2026 VANPLA Newtype members can be a proxy seller for you at the event. It is advised that all sellers arrive 30 minutes before the start of the swap meet to set up their selling area. Sellers may advertise their swap meet items on the VANPLA Face Book Community page from June 1 to 13, 2026 (one post per day only, please). Swap meet rules: 1. VANPLA Swap meet is a meeting for any VANPLA members to buy, sell or exchange their existing model kits and toys. Items may include: - Plastic, Resin or Vinyl Hobby kits (with exception of mature themes). - Collectible toys (with exception of mature themes). 2. Any participating member at the swap meet must follow any rules that have been set by the venue operator. This includes, but is not limited to, the code of conduct, parking restrictions, smoking regulations, noise restrictions, etc. 3. Only current card-carrying 2026 VANPLA Newtype members and the Event operators are permitted to sell and trade during the Swap meet. You do NOT need a VANPLA membership to purchase at the event and it is open to the Public. Anyone is permitted to buy Plastic Kits and Toys. 4. All transactions at the Swap meet are for personal use only. Vendors, Suppliers, and Retailers are not permitted to sell their products at the swap meet. 5. No food or drink is permitted at the swap meet (Bottled Water is allowed). No smoking is permitted anywhere on the property. (Please proceed to move beyond the parking area if you need to do so). 6. Both VANPLA and the Venue Operator are NOT RESPONSIBLE for the volume, completeness, integrity, or condition of any items sold or traded at the swap meet. It is the responsibility of every buyer or trader to check and evaluate every product before they trade or purchase. 7. All sellers reserve the right to set their prices at the swap meet. This is negotiable between each buyer and seller and NOT the responsibility of the Venue operator or VANPLA. Sellers should ideally mark their prices on their items before the start of the swap meet. Open or closed bidding of any nature is prohibited at the swap meet. 8. Selling space and product availability are on a first-come, first-served basis. It is strongly recommended that all sellers arrive 30 minutes before the start of the meeting, to set up their selling area. 9. By Attending the VANPLA Swap Meet, you agree to release the owner and operator of the facility and the VANPLA Community group of any liability for transactions (buying, selling, trading) that happens at the Swap Meet. Our only responsibility is to provide a platform and location for facilitating the transaction.
