SYNOPSIS:
Maria, a lively young woman preparing to become a nun, is sent to be the governess for the seven children of the strict Captain von Trapp. Through her kindness and love of music, she gradually brings joy, trust, and unity back into the family, while forming a close bond with the Captain.

As their lives grow happier, the rise of Nazi Germany creates a serious challenge. When the Captain is ordered to serve, the family chooses to stand by their values.

In the end, they show courage and unity as they leave their home in search of freedom, guided by their love for one another and the power of music.

DESCRIPTION:
Childlike Faith Academy of Music and Theatre (CFA) is proud to present our big 12th anniversary production, "THE SOUND OF MUSIC Youth Edition" the Children's Musical, performed by CFA students between the age of 4 to 18 on Saturday, June 27th of 2026! The musical will be performed in English with Chinese subtitles at Gateway Theatre (6500 Gilbert Road, Richmond), designed to be family-oriented and suitable for both English and Chinese speakers of all ages!

Our mission is to give the next generation a platform to learn about themselves, develop self-confidence, learn how to express themselves, be able to interact and socialize with other people in group settings, and to unleash their full potential in fun, easy, interesting and artistic way!

Childlike Faith Academy of Music and Theatre (CFA) 十二週年巨獻大型兒童音樂劇《仙樂飄飄處處聞》，講述瑪利亞是一位活潑開朗、正在修道院學習的年輕女子，被派往擔任馮特拉普上校七個孩子的家庭教師。上校性格嚴謹，家庭氣氛一度十分拘謹，但瑪利亞用她的真誠與對音樂的熱愛，逐漸為這個家庭帶來歡樂與溫暖，也拉近了彼此之間的關係。隨著時間的推移，瑪利亞與上校建立了深厚的情感。然而，隨著納粹勢力的崛起，家庭面臨重大抉擇。上校拒絕為其效力，全家決定堅守信念。最終，他們以勇氣與團結踏上離開家園、追尋自由的旅程，展現了愛與信念的力量。

本劇改編自原著中最精彩動人的部分，劇情緊湊、老少咸宜。由三十多位年齡介乎四至十八歲、活潑可愛的小演員，以及多位舊生傾情演出，展現活力與熱誠。全劇精心編排多場歌舞場面，配合創意十足的舞台設計，勢必為觀眾帶來連場驚喜，萬勿錯過！

演出全長約六十分鐘，不設中場休息。英語演出，配有中英文字幕。演出日期為六月二十七日（星期六），地點為 Gateway Theatre（6500 Gilbert Road, Richmond），當日共演兩場，分別為下午4:00及晚上7:30。
