Self Tying 102

Join Knot Your Typical Rope Group (KYTRG) during this educational/social event to meet new friends, challenge yourself to learn a new skill, and to have fun playing! Ready to continue the art of self tying? Join us in person for a fun and relaxed session where you'll learn basics, and tips and tricks to make self tying more enjoyable. We'll review single & double columns, and teach a hip harness.

KYTRG's mission is to provide Safe Inclusive Rope Education for EVERYONE.

KYTRG is a rope tying community group for any self identifying people who don't fit into the hetero normative tying pair often seen in social media. If you're a small bodied rigger tying people twice your size, have differing mental or physical abilities, self tie, have surgery scars, are large bodied; if you've been told Rope just isn't for you, THIS ROPE GROUP IS. We welcome all, of any gender, orientation, ability, size or ethnicity.

This educational/social event will be 2 hours long. You will need two hanks at a minimum, up to 4 or more for larger ties. If you don't have your own rope yet, don't worry! You can use our lender rope, or purchase rope from Field Day Boutique and support local ❤ ️

There is a step up into the store, but a ramp is available upon request. Restrooms on site are accessible and mobility aid friendly. This class will be held on floor mats, but chairs are available for those who would like to stay seated during class. Please note: as most participants are seated on mats on the floor, access to the bathrooms can be difficult, so arrive early to sit close to bathrooms if needed. A water fountain is available on site and we encourage people to bring close-topped water bottles to stay hydrated.

This event is 18+ and up only.

Check in starts at 645pm, but you are welcome to come to the store an hour early to browse Field Day Boutique Adult Store and support local!

Street parking is available and generally paid with meters. After 6pm it is free, and free on Sundays. Be careful to mind all marked parking signage!
