The Shenandoah Permaculture Institute is proud to once again partner with the University of Richmond to offer our Spring Permaculture Design Course! We'll be focusing, as ever, on real-world, hands-on, practical Permaculture with a focus on the Mid Atlantic. Permaculture is an ethics-based design science that patterns nature to create regenerative systems. This Spring, the Shenandoah Permaculture Institute celebrates teaching our 10th course together as a team, and we're excited to bring our experience as farmers, teachers, directors, technicians, counselors and more to the classroom.
This 72 hour course takes place on 4 alternating weekends from late February to early April:
February 21-23 (the only 3 day wknd in the course)
Curriculum will be taught in a variety of methods, including classroom and lecture time, field trips, workshops, skill building sessions, farm tours, guest lectures and more. The course culminates in a final design project where students will map out and present a completed Permaculture Design. Check out our website for full details, teacher bios, student testimonials, and for a link to the U of R Registration page.
Course Fee: (Register Early for $200 off!)
