# Event Details

- **Event Name**: June eBike Group Ride
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 28 Jun, 2026 at 09:30 am
- **Event Description**: For our June Group ride we will begin and end at Ancarrow’s Landing which was a major port in the massive Slave Trade that made Richmond the largest source of enslaved Africans on the east coast of America from 1830 to 1860.

The ride parallels the slave trail, crosses Mayo bridge, goes to Lumpkins Jail, then up Franklin Street to 2nd Street (using bike lanes). We'll make a loop through Jackson Ward and back to Ancarrow's Landing. The total ride is approximately 10 miles.

The terrain is mostly pavement but there is a brief gravel path from the end of slave trail which begins under the I95 overpass and joins up with an asphalt trail along flood wall. There are also some hills coming up from Lumpkin's Jail going to Jackson ward with some brief riding in car traffic lane.

After ride social TBD.

All are welcome but all riders must register:
