Welcome to the 2026 James River Shape Note Convention!
The Richmond Shape Note Singers joyfully welcome all voices—whether you are a seasoned singer or brand new to the tradition. We strive to make this gathering accessible to everyone, recognizing that our historic building was adapted for ADA accessibility after its construction and may present some challenges. A separate document with detailed accessibility information is available, and our volunteers are ready to assist so that all may fully share in the singing.

For a full description of ADA access for parking, the exterior of the building, the interior of the building, and available equipment and personnel, see the link below--unfortunatley, facebook does not allow hyperlinking. Please note that this is a working document that may be updated and we have tried to note in bold text areas where we are aware more information is needed.
