From health and politics to scams and social media, false information can spread faster than the truth and changing people's minds isn't as simple as presenting the evidence.In this talk, discover how behavioural science helps us understand why people believe misinformation, why facts alone often fail, and the surprisingly effective strategies that can help counter false beliefs without turning every conversation into an argument.Your Speaker:Peter Bragge is a Professor of evidence-based policy and practice; the science of connecting the best knowledge from research around the world to decision-makers in government, philanthropic and industry settings. He is part of BehaviourWorks Australia (BWA) which is the country’s oldest and largest applied behaviour change research unit and is based at Monash University’s Business School. Through these roles, Peter has a front row seat to the big challenges faced by decision-makers, especially those that involve changing human behaviour.
