About the event

Comfort Food Classics Turned Plant-Based
In this class, we will be turning some of your comfort food favorites plant-based—no flavor spared along the way! The class will start with a mocktail demo, and then we will move on to two side dishes. The class will finish with creating a main course, and then sharing a meal together to enjoy the fruits of our labor. During the class, Jessica will not only share approachable culinary tips, but she will also weave in nutrition and sustainability tidbits thanks to her background as a registered dietitian. Bring your questions, your curiosity and your appetite for a night of fun and flavorful plant-forward eats!

-Pomegranate-Ginger Fizz
-Creamy Miso Bean Skillet
-Melting Cabbage Caesar Salad
-Red Wine-Lentil Ragu with Pappardelle

About the instructor:

Jessica Ball, M.S., RD is a registered dietitian and senior nutrition editor at EatingWell.com. She has been nominated for a James Beard Media Award (2025), been featured on the TODAY Show, and received numerous Digital Health Awards for her nutrition, video and recipe content. Besides her work in food and nutrition communications, she loves cooking, gardening, mountain biking, skiing, swimming and any opportunity to be outside (or cooking outside, even better!). In this class, Jessica loves sharing culinary tips and recipes while weaving in tidbits about nutrition and sustainability, and what you learn will be helpful well beyond when you leave the class.
