Black Flag is a pioneering American hardcore punk band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California. Led by founding guitarist Greg Ginn, the group fueled the early American punk movement, pioneering DIY ethics and a fiercely anti-establishment sound. Their landmark releases include Damaged (1981) and My War (1984), which influenced generations across punk, grunge, and metal.
 
In 2025, Black Flag officially unveiled a brand-new lineup: vocalist Max Zanelly (the band's first-ever female frontperson), bassist David Rodriguez, and drummer Bryce Weston, joining Ginn. This refreshed lineup kicked off an exciting new chapter with writing, rehearsals, and plans for an upcoming season of live shows and new music.
