Born in Xiamen, China, grew up in Hong Kong, and moved to Canada in 1987, Wong’s work often examines the fluid boundaries between history, memory, and the act of looking. His diverse portfolio includes painting, installation, and public engagement projects that prioritize stillness and meditative observation in an increasingly fast-paced world.Beyond his studio practice, Wong is a prominent voice in the arts community. His work has been exhibited extensively nationally and overseas, and he is widely recognized for his contributions to both art education and contemporary art through his art practice, acting as a bridge between diverse cultural and aesthetic perspectives.www.LamWong.comAbout Yang Xiaoyan / 楊小彥A Mainland China national-wide esteemed art critic and senior curator, Yang immigrated to Canada in 1999 and then became a citizen of Canada. In 1987, he received his Master degree of Art history in the Department of Art History of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, China. In 2004, he received his Ph.D. of Architectural Theory and History in the School of Architecture, of South China University of Technology, China. Now he is Ph.D. Advisor to Sun Yat-Sen University, China, Master’s Degree Advisor to Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, Visiting Professor and Master’s Degree Advisor to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
