Guiding the night is a carasmatic MC, keeping the energy high, transitions smooth, and the crowd smiling from start to finish.

Here’s the twist — the audience decides the winners, judging matchmakers on presentation style, crowd reaction, and whether their candidate actually lands a date by the end of the night.

And to make it extra special — this event was created in partnership with the original admins of Subtle Asian Dating Toronto, bringing authentic SAD energy to the stage.

🎭 For the Matchmaker Auctioneers:

Matchmakers will take the stage with their chosen candidate(s) and have max. 7 minutes to present them. Presentations can include pitches, hype-ups, mini-skits, fun facts, or talent showcases, visual aids like PowerPoint slides or props are sugessted to help showcase your candidate’s personality and qualities.

The goal: Convince the audience that your candidate is the ultimate catch.

🏆 Scoring SystemThe audience will score each matchmaker’s performance based on:

1. Presentation & Creativity – Was it engaging, fun, and unique?
2. Crowd Reaction – Did the audience vibe with it?
3. Successful Matchmaking – Did the candidate actually land a date by the end of the night?

The highest-scoring matchmaker will be crowned the night’s champion and win prizes — along with their candidate.
