Potluck and Presentation

Dogtown Ecovillage is collaborating with the St. Louis Zoo and Green Ribbon Gardens to host a presentation and potluck.

Presentation: Planting Starts with Prep: How to Prep your Site for a Successful Native Garden.
Presenter: Deanna Douglas is a restoration coordinator at the Litzsinger Road Ecology Center where she works to restore and maintain native ecosystems and manage invasive species. She has her M.S. in Biology with a focus in ecology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and she is especially interested in insect host plant interactions and gardening with native plants. Outside of work, she volunteers with Friends of Illinois Nature Preserves, enjoys hiking, making pens from honeysuckle on her lathe, and spending time with friends and family.

1. Bring a dish to share.
2. The location will be Classroom #2 in the lower level of the Living World Building. This is located in the West corner. There is a set of glass doors leading to the space. For those who may prefer or require elevator access instead of stairs, the elevator is located to the right of the gift shop.
