New Year’s Eve in Tel Aviv Returns to Focal Point!
We’re delighted to bring our concert/celebration back to Focal Point this year. Our (almost) annual New Year’s Eve in Tel Aviv tradition rings in the New Year at exactly midnight Israel Standard Time—that’s 4:00 p.m. St. Louis time, a far more civilized hour for a celebration.
The program features a trio of 70-something Jewish musicians—Will Soll, Joey Kenig (guitar, vocals), and Andy Curry (bass, vocals)—performing songs by Jewish songwriters including George Gershwin, Carole King, Bob Dylan, Steve Goodman, and members of the trio.
Midway through the p we’ll pause to welcome the New Year with the traditional New Year’s Eve in Tel Aviv Anthem, written by Allan Sherman, then continue with a lively sing-along (song sheets provided).
Light refreshments will be available.
Admission: $10 at the door only (no advance sales).
