The program connects Hanford’s restoration expertise with Fukushima’s revitalization efforts while giving students the opportunity to experience each other’s cultures, represent the Tri-Cities region, and explore how restoration impacts communities across the globe. Robert, who helped develop the Hanford Nuclear Lecture Series, served as a faculty chaperone, and is part of the core team coordinating student exchanges, will share his experiences and lessons learned from this unique cultural and historical program.
