ACT is excited to host auditions for our upcoming production of Willy Wonka Jr. Are you ready to be part of this musical adventure? Auditions will be held on site on March 2nd & 3rd 2026, and are open to actors in 4th-12th grade. Actors interested can attend our online Informational meeting on:

Plot: Ronald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. tells the story of Willy Wonka, an enigmatic confectionery manufacturer, who initiates a contest by concealing golden tickets in five of his candy bars. Individuals who discover these tickets are granted a complimentary tour of the Wonka factory and receive a lifetime supply of candy. Four out of the five winners exhibit challenging behavior, while the fifth, Charlie Bucket, is accompanied on the tour by his congenial grandfather. Throughout their visit, the children are required to adhere to Mr. Wonka’s regulations within the factory or face appropriate consequences.

Come prepared with a 30-60 second dramatic monologue.
Plus a 30-45 second song. We prefer songs from a theatrical musical, but you can choose any song that showcases your vocal skills,(preferably not from Willy Wonka). Bring your digital/ insturumental track on a device or cd. The song can also be acapella or unaccompanied.
There will also be a short dance routine. You may learn the routine the day of your audition or we may send you a link with a tutorial by email once after you sign up. Don't worry, it's not too hard and it will be fun! Wear closed toe shoes and something you can comfortably dance in.
The performance dates for Willy Wonka Jr will be on May 8, & 15 at 7pm & May 9, 10, 16,17, at 3pm.

There is a mandatory parent meeting on March 9th @ 6PM, followed by a read through (for the cast) and a volunteer meeting (for the parents). Please be sure to list all conflicts on the audition form.
The participation fee is a total of $228, (or $247.84 with tax) broken down in two parts. We have a few ways that we can break down this fee. The first part of $120 is due once you have been cast. If you have any questions, please feel free to send an email with your inquiries.
