Empowering hygienists to be healthy, informed, and efficient.
Lecture, Hands-on, and Light Yoga Techniques by Brittany Gordon
More and more dental offices are booked months in advance and are operating with a limited staff. Dentists expect hygienists to deliver thorough cleanings but with less time allotted for each procedure. I would like to discuss ways to increase efficiency without sacrificing quality.
The demands of life make it challenging to keep up with new and innovative technology. I would like to cover the latest technological advancements and products that could lead to better patient outcomes
Finally, I want to address personal health and wellness, which is essential for career longevity. In addition to exploring in-office and home yoga techniques, I would like to conduct a deep dive into anatomy, helping hygienists understand why their bodies hurt and exploring natural options to help them feel their best and perform at their highest level.
I started my dental journey right out of high school in an office where I learned everything from assisting to lab work. After a few years, I knew I needed more and decided to go to hygiene school. In 2012, I finished my program and have been in my current position ever since. Now with 20 years of dental experience, I appreciate the perspective my varied roles provided me in this industry.
Aside from hygiene, I teach hot power yoga which satisfies some of my obsession with all things health and wellness.
If I’m not cleaning teeth or teaching yoga, I’m spending time in the great outdoors or at a cabin I share with my fiancé and French bulldog, Leo.
