Learn the historic art of traditional hand hooked rugs.  Like many forms of art, hooked rugs were made out of necessity, utilizing scraps and upcycling.  By pulling up one loop at a time you can create a beautiful 8” by 8” heirloom textile.

~About the Artist~
Juliana is a certified rug hooking teacher whose main objective is to teach students to create their own textile art.  She finds that creating beauty and the slow stitch aspect of rug hooking, very healing.  Her early formal training is in advertising and design.  Currently, she teaches adults in her home, at Tyler Park Center for the Arts and at The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen, in Lancaster.  She has also taught homeschool classes in both rug hooking and dyeing.  She is proud to have had her rugs published in Celebration of Hand Hooked Rugs 20, Celebration of Hand Hooked Rugs 24, Hooking Animals, Design Basics for Rug Hookers and Hooking Skies.
