Drop Pull Pysanky: A Unique Method of Writing Ukrainian Eggs with Basia Andrusko

$45 cost + $20 material fee payable to instructor at the time of class

Explore the art, symbolism and joy in creating Pysanky Ornaments. Ages 12+

Each workshop participant will create a unique and beautiful egg ornament! They make great gifts, especially to commemorate a birthday, anniversary, new home, or just to share with someone special.


~ About the Artist ~
Basia has been writing Pysanky for over four decades, gathered around the stove in the kitchen during Lent to carry on the Ukrainian tradition. She finds the creative process very soothing and meditative, and looks forward to the moment of melting off the wax — the reveal of the design. She writes pysanky with traditional patterns, but also enjoys creating egg art with fresh interpretations and original designs. She feels it is her duty and privilege to share this folk art with those interested and future generations.
