Toileting is an important milestone in early childhood, and at Guidepost Montessori we view it as a developmental process rooted in independence, readiness, and respect for the child.
This informational meeting is designed for families with older Nido and Toddler-aged children, as well as prospective families who are curious about our Montessori approach to toileting. We’ll discuss what readiness looks like, how we support children through this transition at school, and how families and teachers can partner together to create a consistent, supportive experience.
Topics we’ll cover include:
- Signs of toileting readiness
- The Montessori philosophy behind toileting and independence
- How toileting is supported in the Nido and Toddler environments
- How to prepare your child at home
- Common challenges and how to navigate them with confidence
- How school and home can work together for consistency
There will be time for questions and discussion, and families are encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences.
Whether your child is showing early signs of readiness or you’re simply beginning to think ahead, this meeting is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and feel supported.
