This project is designed to build confidence with basic sewing techniques while introducing you to new skills such as working with zippers, sewing ruffles, and adding simple linings. By the end of class, you’ll take home a stylish cosmetic bag that’s as fun to show off as it is useful.

Included in the class: A kit with 2 fat quarters of fabric for the outside and the lining, soft and stable stabilizer, and a zipper.  Students can choose their fabrics day of class or by coming in prior.  There is no additional charge for fabric and supplies, they are included in the price of the class.

What you’ll learn:

    How to cut and prepare fabric pieces for a small bag
    Techniques for gathering and attaching a ruffle
    Installing a zipper the easy way
    Adding lining for a neat, professional finish
    Simple tricks to keep your seams straight and polished

What to bring:

    Sewing machine in good working orde
    Sewing thread and scissors
    Ruler and marking pens
    Wunder Clips

Skill level: Absolute beginner and up
Finished size: Approx. 7" x 5" (perfect for makeup, pencils, or small treasures!)
