Over the years, he has illustrated many books, and with his wife, Jacky Davis, cowrote and illustrated the New York Times bestselling book series Ladybug Girl,as well the Agent Lion and Elvis and Romeo series. David’s solo books include Three Bears in a Boat, The Monster Next Door, How to Two, The Impossible Mountain and Papa’s Home. When not working on a new book, David teaches at The School of Visual Arts in NYC.Jacky Davis, along with her husband, David Soman, is the creator of the bestselling Ladybug Girl eries as well as the Agent Lion and Elvis and Romeo series'. Jacky has written several other picture books, including Sunny Side Up, Olive & Pekoe, and Good Dream Dragon. When she’s not writing children’s books, she works part-time as a bookseller at Postmark Books in the Hudson Valley, and sometimes at the local elementary school library. She is also a graphic designer and packager who has created book jackets, trading cards, catalogs, and more.David & Jacky live in Rosendale, New York, with their family and a big, furry dog named Pico.Oblong Books in Rhinebeck is a fully wheelchair accessible space with on-site van accessible parking. Microphones and speakers will not be used at this event but can be made available with advance notice. Our chairs are stackable and have arms.
