#SpotDemocracy

On 22 May a citizen meeting will be hosted at the Reykjavik City Theatre on the future of democracy. It is based on the ideology of the National Assemblies which took place in Iceland after the crash inviting citizens to visualize values which could underline a new and better society.
This meeting will look at the democracy of the future. The meeting will include foreign participators and will therefore be held in English. It is open for everybody as long as there is space so people are encouraged to show up early to get seats at the tables and be able to participate.
  
Speeches by inspiring international academics, past/present politicians, and trailblazing democracy hub troubadors.  Soup can be bought in between two dynamic participatory talks which aim at investigating the next steps in Iceland as well as focus on the future of democracy as a concept. 
The event will be lived streamed both through Borgarleikhúsið and through citizen journalists via Periscope. 
The meeting will take place in Reykjavik City Theatre will end with participants going to the Vesturbæjarlaug City Hot Pool for relaxation and further talk.

SAMTAL UM LÝÐRÆÐI

Þann 22. maí verður haldinn ógleymanlegur borgarafundur í Borgarleikhúsinu um lýðræði framtíðarinnar. Fundurinn byggir á hugmyndafræði þjóðfundanna sem voru haldnir í kjölfar efnahagshrunsins á Íslandi. 
Fundurinn mun leitast við að varpa fram sýn fundargesta á lýðræði framtíðarinnar. 
Þar sem fjölmargir erlendir gestir munu sækja fundinn fer hann fram á ensku. Fundurinn er öllum opinn á meðan húsrúm leyfir og því eru gestir hvattir til að mæta tímanlega til að tryggja sér sæti við fundarborð og þar með þátttöku í samtalinu.
Fyrirlestrar verða jafnframt fluttir af erlendu fræðifólki, aktivistum og listamönnum. 
Hægt verður að kaupa súpu í hádeginu. 
Fundinum verður streymt í beinni útsendingu á síðu Borgarleikhússins. 
Að fundi loknum verða fundargestir hvattir til að fara í Vesturbæjarlaug og halda þar samtalinu áfram að vild.
