Við munum leika okkur að „mála“ með efnisbútum og þráðum.

Textíl Barinn er hönnunar- og lista studio sem selur áður elskaðan textíl og sérhæfir sig í skapandi endurnýtingu.

Vika 17 er alþjóðleg vika heimsmarkmiða Sameinuðu þjóðanna á bókasöfnum. Í tilefni vikunnar eru ýmsir viðburðir tengdir heimsmarkmiðunum á dagskrá bókasafna vítt og breytt um landið.

Textiles as an Art Form – Creative Reuse
A workshop by Textíl barinn for those who want to play with materials and form.

In this workshop, we look at old textiles as valuable materials for new works of art. We stop thinking of clothes as functional items and begin to see them as color, texture, and story.

We will tear, braid, dye, and combine different worlds. Whether you want to create a three-dimensional sculpture, a dreamlike wall piece, or a textile mosaic, this is the space to let creativity lead the way.

We will experiment with “painting” using fabric pieces and threads.

Come with an open mind—and maybe an old garment that holds memories. We will transform it into something that belongs on the wall rather than in the closet.

Textíl barinn is a design and art studio that sells pre-loved textiles and specializes in creative reuse.

Week 17 is the international week of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals in libraries. To mark the occasion, various events related to the goals are being held in libraries across the country.
