- **Event Description**: ☀️ Ready to swing into summer in style? 😎 We are running a 6- week West Coast Swing (WCS) in May and June! 🪩 You’ve maybe seen the videos of people dancing with a random person to a random song, well now’s your chance to learn! And the first week of classes is free, so you can come and try it out 😊

📆 The course runs from Thursday, May 14th to Thursday, June 18th

📍The course will be held in Reykjavíkur Akademian (Hafnarstræti 5: 3rd floor), right in the heart of downtown 💗
The weekly schedule is:

🔸 18:00-19:00 - Open Practice | Students can come and work on their dancing, or just dance, or just chat. A teacher will be present to assist, but we encourage students to develop their own practice skills

🔸 19:00-20:00 - WCS 2: Variations | This is our second course in your WCS journey. In this class we will take the basics you’ve already learned and start to play with them. Not only learning cool variations, but why those variations work so you can start coming up with your own. Note: for this class you must have taken WCS 1 or be comfortable with the 5 basic steps in WCS. Note 2: All students in this course are welcome to attend WCS 1 for free to polish their basics 

🔸 20:00-21:00 - WCS 1: Fundamentals | Welcome to West Coast Swing! In this beginner’s class we will teach you all you need to know to get started dancing. No partner needed to attend and no previous dance skill needed, just show up and be ready to have fun

🔸 21:00-22:00 - Social Dance | Join the entire community and come together to hang out and dance. No stress, no teaching, no mistakes, just having fun
