Join us for the Future Festival’s edition of our weekly Icelandic practices! As usual, all levels are welcome, it’s free, you don’t need to register, we have lovely teachers, coffee, and tea!  

This time around we will make up new Icelandic words for the future: What words are missing from the Icelandic vocabulary to talk about the things you want to talk about? Maybe a word you miss from your native language? Or a new word entirely? Come and create words with us! We will also have books and games for those who prefer to stick to the usual activities. 

The future festival will take place from March 1st to March 14th 2026 in the Reykjavik City Library Grófin (downtown). All events are free of charge and open to all. The full program can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1072690605043487/

Komdu á Framtíðarfestivalsútgáfu af vikulegum íslenskuæfingum okkar! Líkt og alltaf eru öll velkomin, óháð færni í íslensku, byrjendur jafnt sem lengra komin. Þátttaka ókeypis, ekki þarf að skrá sig. Frábærir kennarar til aðstoðar og te/kaffi á boðstólnum.  

Að þessu sinni ætlum við að búa til ný íslensk orð fyrir framtíðina: Hvaða orð vantar í íslenskan orðaforða til að tala um það sem þig langar að tala um? Kannski orð sem þú saknar úr móðurmáli þínu? Eða alveg nýtt orð? Komdu og búðu til orð með okkur! Við verðum einnig með bækur og borðspil fyrir þau sem kjósa hefðbundnari verkefni.
