Varðberg, pólska sendiráðið á Íslandi og utanríkisráðuneytið standa fyrir ráðstefnu í Norræna húsinu miðvikudaginn 10. júní 2026 þar sem fjallað verður um öryggis- og stjórnmálasamstarf á Eystrasaltssvæðinu og víðar. Viðburðurinn er haldinn í lok formennskutíðar Póllands í Eystrasaltsráðinu (CBSS) og í aðdraganda þess að Ísland tekur við formennsku þann 1. júlí 2026. Á málþinginu verður farið yfir helstu áskoranir og tækifæri í samstarfi ríkja á svæðinu, þar á meðal vernd mikilvægra innviða, viðbrögð við fjölþáttaógnum, truflanir á GPS-merkjum, samhæfingu öryggismála og áframhaldandi stuðning við Úkraínu.
