Saturday May 30th will be the last Chat with an Accent event of the semester. Notice that it will not be Chat and explore but Chat and Play. We will have a cozy time at the library, play fun board games, have some coffee/tea and practice our Icelandic with old friends and new ones. ☀️ Have a great summer everyone! ? Join us for this free Icelandic practice meet-up and get to know other people who are learning too! It's free and you don‘t need to sign up. Just show up! Are you having a hard time learning while sitting still? You want to walk around and practice your Icelandic while discovering cool exhibitions and cultural landmarks of Reykjavik city? ?️ We meet on the ground floor of the Reykjavik City Library Grófin (downtown), go over some useful vocabulary with our experienced teacher, have some coffee/te before going on the field trip of the day to a museum within a walking distance from the Library. The guided tours are in Icelandic but there will be plenty of support for you to understand! Chat and explore in Icelandic is a part of the event series Spjöllum með hreim (Let's chat with an accent). We offer free Icelandic practice meet-ups with 3 different rotating activities aimed at people with different interests and learning preferences. ? Langar þig að rölta um miðborg Reykjavíkur og skoða skemmtilegar sýningar á fjölbreyttum menningarstofnunum á meðan þú æfir þig að spjalla á íslensku? ?️ Við hittumst á Torginu, 1.hæðinni á Borgarbókasafninu Grófinni (í miðbænum), fáum okkur kaffi/te og förum yfir orð sem nýtast munu í safnaheimsókn dagsins, áður en við röltum saman á sýninguna og kynnumst borginni betur. Söfnin eru öll í göngufjarlægð frá Grófinni. Leiðsagnirnar fara fram á íslensku en reyndur íslenskukennari fylgir hópnum og aðstoðar ef á þarf að halda.
