Karlakórinn Fóstbræður hefur starfað samfellt frá haustinu 1916 og fagnar því 110 ára afmæli sínu um þessar mundir. Kórinn hefur um langt skeið verið einn eftirsóttasti og virtasti sönghópur landsins og komið fram við fjölbreytt tilefni, opinberar athafnir, hátíðir og menningarviðburði. Hann hefur pantað og frumflutt fjölmörg ný tónverk, margsinnis komið fram með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Íslands, haldið í tónleikaferðalög víða um heim og sent frá sér rómaðar plötur.

Vortónleikar Fóstbræðra hafa verið haldnir í Norðurljósum í Hörpu allt frá opnun hússins. Píanóleikari með kórnum er Steinunn Birna Ragnarsdóttir.

The Fóstbræður Male Choir performs in Norðurljós on Culture Night, presenting a programme that blends timeless choral masterpieces with beloved popular songs from a wide range of musical traditions. The choir is conducted by Árni Harðarson.

Founded in the autumn of 1916, the Fóstbræður Male Choir has performed continuously ever since and is celebrating its 110th anniversary this year. Over the decades, the choir has established itself as one of Iceland's most distinguished and sought-after vocal ensembles. It has appeared at a wide variety of public ceremonies, festivals, and cultural events, commissioned and premiered numerous new works, performed many times with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, toured extensively abroad, and
released several critically acclaimed recordings.

Since Harpa first opened its doors, the choir has presented its annual spring concerts in Norðurljós. The choir's pianist is Steinunn Birna Ragnarsdóttir.
