Contemporary Dance & Acrobatics Workshop with Leevi Rauhalahti

Join a 3-hour physical deep dive into the meeting point of contemporary dance and acrobatic movement.

Led by Leevi Rauhalahti a Finnish contemporary dancer and performer working between Finland, Estonia and Iceland —the workshop draws from their practice in floorwork, dynamic jumps, and acrobatics for dancers.

The class begins with a strong, activating warm-up focused on core control, upper body strength, and mobility. From there, we move into expansive phrase work across the floor and through space—exploring momentum, weight, and flow.

Participants will also be guided through more challenging acrobatic elements step by step, with an emphasis on clarity, accessibility, and embodied understanding rather than “perfect execution.”

Leevi’s teaching blends contemporary and jazz-informed physicality with a strong focus on clarity, risk-taking, and finding freedom inside technical movement.

Open to dancers with some experience in contemporary dance or acrobatics—no need to be an expert, just ready to move and explore.

Level: Intermediate (some prior experience in contemporary dance or acrobatics recommended)

Duration: 3 hours

Early bird price: 9.500 ISK until June 23. After June 23. From June 24, the regular price will be 11.000 ISK
