Verkefnið var unnið á vorönn 2026 þar sem hver leikskóli heim sótti Safnahúsið þrisvar sinnum og unnið var út frá sýningunni Stattu og vertu að steini! Þjóðsögur í íslenskri myndlist. Í hverri heimsókn var rýnt í tvö listaverk út frá aðferðum Sjónarafls - þjálfunar í myndlæsi þar sem áhersla var lögð á virka tjáningu og hlustun. Einnig unnu börnin skapandi verk efni í listasmiðjum þar sem unnið var út frá þremur þemum sýningarinnar: draugum, álfum/huldufólki og tröllum. Í kjölfar safnaheimsókna unnu börnin listaverk í leikskólunum og eru þau verk jafnframt til sýnis. Þátttökuskólar: Leikskólarnir Furuskógur, Grænaborg, Laufásborg og Miðborg. Sýningin er styrkt af Barnamenningarhátíð í Reykjavík. -- Tröppur í stigarými 👇🏼 SPIN - Spor í Norðri – börn merkja skrefin. 👣 Kynntu þér drauma SPIN-nemenda um hvernig við getum mótað heiminn saman. Með endurnýttum skóm, skapandi tjáningu og stafrænum verkum sýna börnin hvaða skref þau vilja taka, bæði fyrir sjálf sig og samfélagið. Hvernig þau vilja vera í heiminum og hvernig þau vilja að heimurinn sé. Í SPIN verkefninu sameinast tungumál, sögur og samfélög barna sem tengjast þvert á Norðurlönd - Tungumálavinir á Norðurlöndum - listin að skilja hvert annað er verkefni þar sem leitast er við að efla menningarnæmi og færni, styðja við inngildingu og byggja á þeirri grunnhugsun að fjöltyngi sé dýrmæt auðlind. Listaverkið Spor í Norðri - börn merkja skrefin er framhald af sýningu þar sem skapandi verk 250 norrænna nemenda voru sýnd á Dokk1 í Árósum haustið 2025. 👉🏼 Samhliða sýningunni verður listasmiðja í Borgarbókasafninu Grófinni 20. apríl kl.16:30–18:00 🔗 Skapandi skósmiðja: https://reykjavik.is/barnamenningarhatid/dagskra#/event/691113 -- Kaffihús 1.hæð 👇🏼 📆 Sumardaginn fyrsta, 23. apríl kl. 13 – 16 Endurvinna, endurhanna, endurhugsa og endurnýta ♻️ Nemendur í unglingadeild Landakotsskóla bjóða í samstarfi við Unga umhverfissinna upp á opna endurhönnunarsmiðju í kaffihúsi Safnahússins í tengslum við verkefni sem þau hafa unnið í skólanum tengt Barnamenningarhátíð 2026 Markmið þessa verkefnis er að hvetja nemendur til að hugsa um þann endalausa úrgang sem verður til í textíliðnaði og fataframleiðslu, hvernig hægt er að sporna við honum sem einstaklingar og þannig draga úr neikvæðum umhverfisáhrifum fatasóunar og hraðtísku. Með því að kaupa ekki fjöldaframleidda tísku, heldur skapa sína eigin úr fatnaði úr nytjaverslunum, endurhugsuðu nemendur tilgang og hönnun fatnaðar. Hver nemandi fékk það verkefni að endurhanna notaða hettupeysu eftir eigin hugmyndum. Hettupeysurnar voru klipptar, saumaðar, útsaumaðar, bættar og skreyttar. Þeir sem höfðu tíma gátu einnig tekið boli úr nytjaverslunum og endurhannað þá. Markmiðið í stuttu máli var að taka þátt í að bjarga jörðinni, hafa gaman og uppgötva töfra þess að hanna og endurgera eigin föt Verkefnið er í lifandi ferli, sumir nemendanna eru búnir, aðrir í miðju sköpunarferlinu. Í smiðjunni í Safnahúsinu gefst einstakt tækifæri til að taka þátt í að endurhanna notaðar flíkur á skapandi og skemmtilegan hátt undir leiðsögn nemenda og kennara, og um leið skoða afraksturinn á vinnu nemendanna úr skólanum. Verkefnið er styrkt af Barnamenningarhátíð í Reykjavík. // Children’s Culture Festival 2026 🎊 📍 House of Collections Hverfisgata 15, 101 RVK Reading room, 2nd floor 👇🏼 I Was Standing in the Moonlight! ✨ Self-illuminating ghosts, magic wands, and troll rings The exhibition is the result of a collaborative project between the National Gallery of Iceland and four preschools based in Reykjavík, all of which have used the museum as a learning platform and visited the museum regularly over the past years. The project was carried out in the spring of 2026, with each preschool visiting the House of Collections three times and working based on the exhibition Stay and Turn to Stone! Folklore in Icelandic Art. During each visit, two artworks were examined using the methods of Sjónarafl – learning through visual literacy with an emphasis on active expression and listening. The children also worked on creative projects in art workshops based on three themes of the exhibition: ghosts, elves and hidden people, and trolls. Following the museum visits, the children created artworks in their preschools, which are also on display. Participating preschools: Furuskógur, Grænaborg, Laufásborg, and Miðborg. Using recycled shoes, creative expression, and digital works, the children show the steps they want to take — both for themselves and for society. How they want to be in the world, and how they want the world to be. In the SPIN project, the languages, stories, and communities of children connect across the Nordic countries. Language Friends in the Nordics – the Art of Understanding Each Other seeks to cultivate a deep appreciation of linguistic and cultural diversity among children in the Nordic region. Individuals intent on sustainability and creativity in the way they rethink the easy availability of cheap clothes. We want to instill the importance of less clothes being made and thrown away and thus reduce their environmental impact. By not buying the latest mass produced fashion but by creating their own with charity shop finds students reimagined their purpose and design and drew on their personal interests and stories in doing so. Each student was tasked with taking a charity shop hoodie and reimagining and upcycling it according to their own interests or concepts. The hoodies were cut, sewn, embroidered, patched and embellished. Those who had time could also take charity shop t-shirts and redesign those. The object in short, was to heal the planet, have fun and discover the magic of designing and remaking your own clothes All welcome!
