Gospel Music is among the most celebrated American music genres and a fundamental part of African American music and culture. In his talk, Gospel expert David Anderson will illuminate the history and development of gospel music, discuss different styles within the genre and the impact Gospel has had on music in the United States and around the world. David Anderson is an Adjunct Professor in Gospel and R&B at University of Miami Frost School of Music, as well as experienced music director, composer and arranger. The Fulbright Specialist Forum will take place on Tuesday March 24th at 12:00 PM in Edda Auditorium E-103, University of Iceland.
