Everyone is invited to gather at the Rexburg Tabernacle to sing! This idea came to me after I posted a video of the congregation singing "For the Beauty of the Earth" at the Community Thanksgiving Concert. That video has had an unexpected response. Many people from all over the world have watched it and commented on it, and it is clear to me that the sound of the congregation singing is unique and moving to many people. I want to share more of that!
Bring your hymn books if you can. For logistical reasons, we will be using the hymn book of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but everyone is welcome. We will have some music printed for those who don't have access to a hymn book, but we don't have copyright permission to print all of them, so bring your hymn books or your phone apps if you can.
We will have an audio engineer there to record. This will be simple, with no rehearsals. We just want to gather and sing and share these beautiful hymns with the world. We will post recordings to social media and streaming services.
I would also love for anyone who takes any videos at the event to share them with me so we can use your videos to make reels to share this music. You can upload videos here:
