Join the ACC Columbia Mountains Section for a 5-day / 4-night helicopter fly-in summer camp in the spectacular Monashee Glacier area. Loosely modelled after an ACC GMC-style camp, this volunteer-led basecamp adventure offers hiking, glacier travel, and scrambling objectives right from camp.

Participants will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of daily objectives led by approved volunteer leaders, including hiking and glacier travel/scrambling options. The trip will be coordinated by an experienced trip leader, alongside additional approved hiking and glacier travel leaders.

This is a self-catered camp. Participants are responsible for bringing their own food and personal cooking equipment. A large basecamp-style tent, tables, and propane cookstove will be provided for communal kitchen setup.

Participants must bring:

Suitable tent, clothing, and footwear for an alpine environment

Personal cooking gear (pots, pans, plates, utensils, cups, etc.)

Glacier travel equipment if participating in glacier objectives (mountaineering boots, crampons, ice axe, harness, etc.)

Please pack thoughtfully. Due to helicopter weight restrictions, participants will be limited to a maximum baggage size and weight. Only small lightweight camping chairs will be permitted.
