Raptors Up Close!

Did you know that there are birds of prey living and hunting right in your own backyard? You may have seen them from a distance soaring high in the sky, roosting in the trees, or diving into the grass to catch a mouse. This is your chance to meet them up close! Join Secret Garden Birds and Bees at the Walker Nature Center to meet our live hawks, owls, and tiny falcon as they help us peek into the personal lives of these exciting birds. You’ll learn all about what they hunt, where they nest, how they keep warm in the winter, and how they are preparing for spring. And we’ll share some of the challenges they face and what we can all do to help them thrive. Best of all, you might even get to take a selfie with your favorite bird of prey!
