Attend the May 17 special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting scrap metal, large appliances, and Styrofoam. Seattle ReCreative will also be accepting donations of arts & crafts items.

🥫 Non-perishable food donations will be collected at each event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.

✅ Metal items accepted:
Auto parts
Lawn chairs
Water heaters
Lawn mowers (REMOVE oil and fluids)
Bikes
Iron and steel (REMOVE all wheels and nonmetal parts)
✅ Styrofoam items accepted:
Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)
❌ Items that CANNOT be accepted:
NO television sets or computers
NO car chassis
NO refrigerators, dishwashers or microwaves
NO tape or labels
Seattle ReCreative will also be accepting arts and craft items.

Fabric larger than 1/4 yd
Notions such as ribbon/trim
Fiber Crafts:
Yarn
Crochet hooks
Knitting needles
General Supplies:
Scissors
Glue/glue guns
Pipe cleaners
Pom poms
Markers and crayons
Fine Art Supplies:
Paint (acrylic, watercolor, oil)
Brushes
Pastels, pencils, printmaking supplies
Paper and canvas
