The History & Culture of Basque Sheepherders in the Great Basin

Basque sheepherders were some of the earliest and most widespread occupants of the West, and have left impacts on its culture and environment that still endure today. Join UNR graduate students Kerri Lesh, Amaia Iraizoz, and Edurne Arostegui for a fascinating presentation of the history of the Basque diaspora to the Great Basin, their return to Basque country, and how they have maintained their culture throughout their migrations, and across time.
