Join Nevada Humanities and local poet and educator John Arsenault on Saturday December 13 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm for a Sagebrush to Sandstone workshop celebrating the art and beauty of haiku in the wintertime. This workshop will take place indoors at the Fleischmann Planetarium’s small classroom (1664 N. Virginia St. Reno NV 89557) with a brief outdoor walk through the nearby cherry blossom garden on the UNR campus. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about a brief history of haiku and draft and practice their own haiku inspired by nature.
This workshop is open to participants of all ages and skill levels. Pencil and paper will be provided.
Space for this event is limited and registration in advance is required.
