- **Event Description**: The “#LiveLIfeLikeKT” Blood Drive is a memorial to Katie Histing who suffered from Ewing’s Sarcoma.About this EventTime & LocationFeb 21, 2026, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PMReno Public Market, 299 E Plumb Ln, Reno, NV 89502, USAAbout the EventReno Public Market will host an inaugural blood drive to honor the memory of a 23-year-old Northern Nevada woman who passed away in 2024 after a long battle with a rare childhood cancer from 12 to 3 pm, Saturday, February 21 on the Mezzanine Level of Reno Public Market in Midtown Reno.The “#LiveLIfeLikeKT” Blood Drive is a memorial to Katie Histing who suffered from Ewing’s Sarcoma for six years and underwent 17 surgeries, 94 transfusions and 115 doses of radiation before she succumbed to the disease in November of 2024.Throughout her courageous cancer fight, Katie formed a business selling her artwork, clothing and other merchandise called “Katie’s Collective,” which is carried on by her mother, Lynn Histing.Katie’s Collective has partnered with Vitalant Blood Services for the upcoming blood drive and will be raffling off Katie’s artwork and merchandise to those who donate blood at the drive as a way of giving back to the community. Lynn Histing intends to hold several other future blood drives in her late daughter’s honor.
