It was fantastic to have such a large group of enthusiastic pilots together to cross lines with at the 2023 edition... Old and new friends... One big family.
The format of this meeting is free (no charge no entrance fee) you come and participate. Want to fly alone, in pairs , in teamline or just watch.....fine. You have questions regarding material or technique, dogstake flying, stick practice ......you will find the answer here.
A mega fly at 15:00 hours .... never done? Pilots available to explain and train.
And ofcourse a lot of chatting regarding kites, material, old 4-liners, new 4-liners, the weather or....... You want to try a kite? Many pilots will give you the opportunity to have a feel.

We fly officially from 10:00 - 17:00 , but be not surprised to find addicts very early on the beach or late in the evening for just another go..... it’s all possible Jst-4-the-Fn
After last years meeting there are some points/ideas i would like to share.
All to improve the mega-team flying and make it even more enjoyable for everyone.
Its always good to read the International Teamflying standard,
A standard not only in calling and terminology, but also an essential introduction to some basic team flying techniques and moves, easy to understand so the effect is a smoother cooperation between pilots from all over the world.

It is a good idea to have multiple groups of 6 pilots,preferably the pilots who form the colums in the megateam.
Each group of 6 has one experienced leader who can explain and check the flying basics/skills.
Also an explanation of the grid-basics.
And time for a material/settings-check.
This can be done in the morning...lets say at 11.00
I can not personally help every pilot (although i wish i could) so its good to make these smaller goups.
Its also nice to join smaller groups during the days and make hours..important to get used to team/grid flying , the calls and repeat and repeat all the moves.
This can lead to a good basis for the big thing we all want ...a huge megateam with smiling faces.
Like i said during the megateam-fly:
It is REAL important not to talk during the megateams . It disturbs the people around you. Distracts them from their focus. Costs time.
Its always good to leave time for discussion but please...after the megafly.
Another point: Do not start unwrapping when we fly megateam..the risk is high something goes wrong...and it is also good to learn to fly with stress on the lines..6 or even more wraps is no problem..get used to it.
So...Each day at 11.00 a preparation for all in smaller groups
(best would be to have these groups in the colums in the megateam)
And at 15.00 the big megateam...all silent and smiling 😉😉
Last point. Since these meetings are international i highly prefer to do all the calls and explanations in English.
This makes it easier for all.
Read the manual
Practice and repeat (preferably in smaller groups)
Call in English
Stay focussed and silent.
Do not unwrap (unless you hear the call Unwrap ...GO)
And..above all this.....Dont forget to enjoy this all.
