- **Event Description**: Join us for a gentle, joy-filled morning with Four Suns Farm Lavender, where we’ll explore how even the smallest acts—like planting seeds, breathing deeply, or sharing something sweet—can help make the world more peaceful and kind. Children will create their own lavender sachets, move through a short nature-inspired yoga flow, enjoy a lavender tasting with bakery treats, and listen to a heartwarming story that reminds us: big change starts with little acts of love.

When: Saturday, January 10, 2026 - 11AM – 1PM
Where: Wheatland Music Organization, Gladys Wernette Building, 7251 50th Ave. Remus, MI 49340
Who: Most enjoyable for kids ages 5+, accompanied by an adult. Younger kids are welcome to watch and/or participate.

About Wheatscouts: Wheatland Music Organization (501(c)(3)) children’s program was started at Wheatland in 1987 to introduce children to folk arts and traditional music in a casual, kid-friendly setting. Wheatscouts events are free of charge, open to the public and all ages of children are welcome. No preregistration or WMO membership is required. From learning about different square & contra dances, songs, storytelling, string & percussion music instruments to crafts & activities like bookbinding, nature walks and tie-dye - we focus on finding new ways to teach the old ways.

Wheatscouts events typically take place the 2nd Saturday (October – May) 11 AM till 1 PM
The event includes a break with healthy snacks provided. Feel free to bring your own food if you or your child has dietary restrictions or to share with the group! Check wheatlandmusic.org or the ‘Wheatscouts – Traditional Arts & Music for Kids’ Facebook page for the latest information on our future events!
If your child is interested in dance, music and arts, check out the Wheatland scholarships (e.g., for lessons, instruments, craft tools, participation in camps/workshops) and local music lesson programs available year-round through the Wheatland Music Organization.
