About Wheatscouts: 
Wheatland Music Organization (501(c)(3)) children’s program was started at Wheatland in 1987 to introduce children to folk arts and traditional music in a casual, kid-friendly setting. From learning about different square & contra dances, songs, storytelling, string & percussion music instruments to crafts & activities like bookbinding, nature walks and tie-dye - we focus on finding new
ways to teach the old ways.

Wheatscouts events take place the 2nd Saturday (October – May) 11 AM till 1 PM

The event includes a break with healthy snacks provided. Feel free to bring your own food if you or your child has dietary restrictions or to share with the group! Check wheatlandmusic.org or the ‘Wheatscouts –Traditional Arts & Music for Kids’ Facebook page for the latest information on our future events and scholarship funds (e.g., for lessons, instruments, craft tools, participation in camps/workshops)!
