With a focus on actionable outcomes, the course will prepare you to immediately apply upir learnings to real-world security challenges and contribute meaningfully to security risk management in any organisation.

Andrew Smith

Andrew is a highly experienced leader and senior risk manager who has consulted across most Australian Commonwealth agencies. In addition to providing specialist risk advice, Andrew has lectured on risk management to a range of Commonwealth government agencies, including ANAO, PM&C, Geoscience Australia, DFAT and Defence (including Joint Operations Command).

He is passionate about improving the capability of people and organisations to develop and implement their risk management capabilities. Recognised across the Commonwealth as a subject matter expert on risk, Andrew has mentored senior risk managers across most government agencies.He has reviewed numerous risk management frameworks across the Australian Government and industry sectors, with his work being officially recognised by two Australian Government Gateway Reviews as best practice in the Commonwealth. Andrew has briefed an Australian Prime Minister and senior cabinet Ministers on a range of issues.
