Save the Date. Our annual World AIDS Day service will take place on Sunday November 30th. The theme for this year will be Living in a World with HIV.
This event will begin at CAMP Rehoboth (37 Baltimore Ave) at 5:30 p.m., where attendees will gather and proceed to walk over to All Saints’ Church on Olive Avenue (18 Olive Ave.) in a Candlelight Procession in memory of all who have died of AIDS. The service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Folks with limited mobility and anyone else who can’t join us at 5:30 are welcome to meet us at All Saints’. This is an inclusive, all-ages event — a time for reflection, remembrance, and community solidarity. We welcome everyone to join together to reflect on lives we’ve lost, honor those living with HIV, and look toward a more compassionate future.
A portion of the AIDS Quilt will be available for viewing at All Saints’ Church, where it will serve as a powerful visual backdrop for the service as we remember the many lives lost to AIDS and reflect on its continued impact today. A reception will immediately follow the service.
This event is sponsored by CAMP Rehoboth, Sussex Pride, The Episcopal Parish of All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel., Community Lutheran Church, Seaside Jewish Community Center, Epworth United Methodist Church, Metropolitan Community Church of Rehoboth Beach, and Westminster Presbyterian Church.
