Adventure-Trips In Regina

Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan is a lovely city with a rich history. It is the cultural and economic hub, with numerous art centers, museums, and parks. The beautiful man-made Wascana Lake and its surroundings make a wonderful urban green space. Adventures in Regina are a plethora of indoor and outdoor activities, to keep tourists busy. There are numerous fun things to do in Regina, like boat tours, and ziplining. All these make Regina a great city for a holiday.

Adventures In Regina

For all the adrenalin junkies, Regina and its neighboring areas have plenty of activities. There are plenty of heart-pounding experiences. The Churchill River is famous for white water rapids, perfect for kayaking. Cypress Hills, Waskesiu and North Battleford areas are known for ziplining and mountain jumping. Other extreme outdoor adventures like windsurfing, skydiving, kiteboarding, and wakeboarding are also famous here. Blue Mountain Adventure Park, Treeosiz Adventure Park, and Outer Edge Adventure park are some of the famous adventure parks of Regina, where one can enjoy these adventure activities. 

Outdoor Activities In Regina

Regina has many parks and open spaces more than any Canadian city. The Wascana Lake is the beautiful parkland surrounding the lake, ideal for morning- evening jogs, walks, cycling, kayaking, and boat tours in Regina. There is no swimming in the lake, but boating or other paddle sports are allowed. The Kiwanais Waterfall Park is a hidden gem, with beautiful waterfall hidden in the trees. A.E.Wilson Park has many intersecting pathways and walking trails, it is great for short walks or strolls. The Jack Hamilton Arena and Rick Hansen Optimist playground are also in this park. The sports lovers can go to Douglas Park. It houses the Canada Games Athletic Complex and also Liebel Field. 

Regina with its beautiful parklands is home to many public golf courses. Some famous golf courses are the Royal Regina, the Wascana Golf, and the Country Club. Joanne Goulet, the Murray, and the Tor Hill are municipal or no-membership golf courses. Regina’s surrounding area is famous for championship golf courses at Deer Estates and Emerald Park.

Fun Things To Do In Regina

Regina has many fun activities for the people who like outdoor activities but not into adventure sports. The Candy Cane Park is famous for its state-of-the-art play structures in its all-ages play area with its candy- caned striped trees. One can enjoy a day trip in surrounding areas of Regina with family and kids. Regina beach is famous for enjoying and relaxing along with several other beach communities on the Last Mountain Lake. Fort Qu’Appelle has been a famous summer getaway. It has many shallow lakes, lined with rows of boat houses and cottages. Rouleau is a neighboring small town of Regina. It became famous after being used as a filming location. Rouleau, the town of Lumsden, Moose jaw are perfect for short day trips from Regina.

Camping Regina or summer camps Regina is famous in kids and teenagers due to the many camping grounds and parks. Regina beach campground, Buffalo lookout campground, comfort plus campground, are few famous camping sites in Regina.
