Summer Learn to Paddle - Session 3 of 3

Who Can Participate?

Open to all ages — No prior paddling experience needed.
Ages 6 and up (Age as of Dec 31, 2025):
Ages 6–12: must paddle with a parent
Ages 13+: may paddle with other registrants of various ages

🎓 What You’ll Learn

Session 1: Intro to Paddling (Dryland)
History of canoeing in Canada
Equipment use, water safety, entering and exiting a canoe

Session 2: First Water Experience
Review Session 1
Paddle in voyageur canoes near shoreline

Session 3: Skill Building
Propulsion development, directional strokes, confidence on water

Session 4+: Exploration & Independence
$20 for 1.5 hour session or free with membership
Transition to tandem C2 boats
