Our outdoor Field Classes are as much about travel and fun as they are about photography. Participants get tips from a expert photpgrapher who has seen it all, professional coaching and editing, the chance for good trips, and the chance to have their work published

Hidden gems can be found almost anywhere... if you know where to look! Years spent exploring backroads talking to people of why a National Geographic photographer is here to photograph their homestead is the uniqueness of this two-day adventure. Through storytelling accounts and how best to photograph the locations you'll be drawn to, you'll gain insider info on how national magazine photo editors expect you to photograph your story, which should be the real reason why you registering for this workshop. Anyone can take great photos and you are the proof - yet have you ever wondered at the end of each photo exoerience "oh great, now what do I do with these shots?"

Let me show you.

In the fields of prairie Canada, especially Saskatchewan, are some of the most impressive and photogenic old farmsteads found anywhere! In comparison to other regions with dilapidated structures, the rundown beauty of these rustic old farms blows me away. We'll spend Thursday shooting in the Claybank-Kayville area returning to Regina. On Friday, we explore the Fairy Hill district. Late September is a great time of year for fall foliage and we'll capture hints of gold, orange and red amongst the old buildings dotting the horizon. While there will be hundreds of beautiful scenes to shoot, we'lll focus on the challenge of finding what is both interesting and photogenic. By keeping the group small we can react quickly to changing conditions and scout new locations. The overall goal being to help train your eye to see beauty in the details that surround us in everyday life.

All skill levels of photography experience are welcome, including beginner.
