From the Czech Lands

Featuring the international award-winning Trio Bohémo this concert will be a rare occasion to hear composers and performers from the Czech lands. Dvořak’s famous “Dumky” Piano Trio is at the heart of their program where melancholy and joy are felt in quick succession. In “Moravian Folk Songs” the performers’ voices will join the colours of their instruments with traditional melodies from the artists’ homeland by Czech composer Jan Vičar. Framing the program: a Haydn trio overflowing with elegance wit and the fiery virtuosity of Mendelssohn’s first piano trio.
