# Event Details - **Event Name**: A Writing Life that Fits Your Life with Toby Welch - **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 05 Nov, 2026 at 12:30 am – Thu, 05 Nov, 2026 at 02:30 am (+00:00) - **Event Description**: A Writing Life That Fits Your Life Finding time to write can be challenging when life is already full. Jobs, caregiving, family responsibilities, health concerns, and everyday demands can leave writers wondering where their writing life is supposed to fit. In this practical and interactive workshop, Toby Welch will help participants let go of myths about the "perfect" writing life and discover an approach that works with the life they actually have. Participants will explore how they use their time and energy, identify the type of writing routine that works best for them, discover ways technology can make writing easier, and learn why sustainable minimums may be more effective than ambitious word-count goals. Through discussion and interactive exercises, participants will develop a realistic plan for making writing a sustainable part of their lives without the guilt of feeling that they're never writing enough. Writers don't need to create a different life to write; they need a writing life that fits the life they already have. Important registration notes: Members pay less for workshops!
