Emergency Preparedness Learn how to stay safe in a natural disaster with the Douglas County Government Emergency Preparedness Department, offering interactive presentations on Earthquake and Tsunami Preparedness at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, and 1:30 PM. Visit the Douglas County Coast CERT booth for more information and enter to win a free Go Bag ~ drawing held at 1 PM. ? Live Music Enjoy the elegant sounds of violin students from the Beautiful Savior School of Music performing from 12:30 – 1:00 PM. Accompanied by music director Diane Byington. ? Raffle & Fundraiser Purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win seven amazing gift baskets filled with fabulous items! All proceeds support the Reedsport Main Street Program’s Holiday Tree Lighting and community projects. View baskets and buy tickets early at City Hall. Winners will be drawn at 1:00 PM during the festival. ? Scarecrow Contest Vote for your favorite creation in the 2nd Annual Scarecrow Competition! Nine local businesses and organizations are showcasing their skills. Stroll through historic downtown along Hwy 38 to view the displays now through 12 noon on November 8th. Paper ballots are available at City Hall, Umpqua Trading Co., Creative Mercantile, Sugar Shack Bakery, and at the festival. The winner will be announced at 2 PM. ? Food & Treats Grab a delicious hot dog from Salty Dogs , serving their tasty favorites inside the community center.
